Domain Name Terms and Conditions
By registering or renewing a Domain Name with Fish.Net you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Regulatory Bodies
-
Domain Names are registered and renewed in accordance with the terms and conditions issued by the relevant regulatory
body for the domain name being registered. Links to the current terms and conditions for specific regulatory organisations
are provided below.
- You agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of the relevant regulatory authority for your Domain Name.
- If there is any conflict between these terms and conditions and those of the corresponding regulatory authority, then those of the regulatory authority will apply.
Supply
- These terms and conditions for Domain Names are in addition to Fish.Net's standard terms and conditions for the supply of services. If there is any conflict between the standard terms and conditions and these terms and conditions, then these terms and conditions will apply.
- Domain Names are often supplied as part of a package with other services (e.g. email or web services). Where a Domain Name is provided as part of a package then any reference to Domain Name in these Terms & Conditions means the packaged service which includes the Domain Name.
- You will be provided with a written price — usually in an electronic document or by email — for the Domain Name services being provided for you, identifying the services included, the period covered by the services and the price of the services.
- Domain Names are invoiced and paid for as a single payment for the complete registration period covered.
- You will provide Fish.Net with full and accurate information as required by the records for the relevant regulatory authority for your Domain Name and you will promptly inform Fish.Net of any changes so that records may be updated.
- You fully indemnify Fish.Net against all claims damages penalties and expenses arising from any third party claim that the domain names as registered infringe any rights owned by a third party.
Renewals
- Domain Name renewals must be paid for in advance of the domain name being renewed.
- 45 days before the renewal date of the Domain Name services, an invoice for renewal is sent to the accounts email address that you have provided to us. The Invoice identifies the services included, the period covered and the price of the renewal. If payment is not received we will endeavour to contact you about a week prior to the renewal date via email or using your previously provided telephone contact details.
- If you do not wish to renew then please let us know so that we can allow the Domain Name to expire. There are no additional charges for a Domain name being cancelled by allowing it to expire.
- 1f payment is not received prior to the renewal date then the Domain Name will not be renewed and will be released and once again made available for general registration, or full legal ownership of the Domain Name will pass to Fish.Net. Dependent on the type of Domain Name the name may expire immediately or there may be some form of grace period.
Transfer
- There are no additional charges for transferring a Domain Name to a new provider.
- Dependent on the type of Domain Name there may be additional charges for modifications to the Domain name registration- eg. transfer of ownership of the Domain Name.
- If you wish to cancel a Domain Name then you can do so by not renewing it and allowing it to expire; there is no charge for this.
- Domain Names will not be transferred from Fish.Net's control until all outstanding charges have been paid.
